Launching a global campaign for international growth

The University of Victoria (UVic) is one of Canada’s leading research-intensive universities, known globally for innovation and academic excellence. M1 partnered with UVic to deliver an international brand campaign for the 2024/25 academic year—combining research, media planning, creative, and digital execution across nine countries to drive awareness and recruitment.
The Challenge
UVic needed to break through highly competitive global education markets and drive measurable recruitment outcomes. The campaign had to resonate with three distinct audiences—prospective students, parents, and global ranking influencers—while scaling effectively across diverse regions including North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.





OUR APPROACH
M1 led the campaign end-to-end, from strategy and creative development through to media planning and execution. We launched targeted campaigns across Google, Meta, and programmatic channels, supported by a custom landing page designed to convert global traffic. Every element was optimized to align messaging and user experience across multiple audiences and regions.
Partnership
Working closely with UVic’s internal team, we managed a complex multi-market rollout across nine countries. Our partnership focused on continuous optimization—monitoring performance, refining creative, and reallocating spend to maximize impact—while maintaining a consistent global brand presence across all digital channels.
Results
We orchestrated a formidable international campaign that completely shattered all set KPIs and established a new benchmark for digital engagement.
