EQUS is Alberta’s leading rural power distribution company, specializing in rapid, cost-effective electricity solutions for diverse sectors. Renowned for their fast connections and efficiency, EQUS excels in servicing residential areas, farms, businesses, and particularly the oil & gas industry, where they outperform competitors in both speed and affordability.

 

EQUS partnered with M1 Agency for a dynamic marketing strategy to enhance their brand in rural Alberta and grow their membership. We blended digital advertising with EQUS’s strategy, focusing on geo-targeted campaigns for their four main service areas. Additionally, we designed and developed their new website to seamlessly align with their dynamic marketing efforts and support their first provincial brand campaign.

Focusing on Farms, Businesses, Irrigation and Oil & Gas sectors, each campaign uniquely addressed audience-specific needs, emphasizing EQUS’s reliability and efficiency. Leveraging a blend of digital and traditional media, with precise geo-targeting, these campaigns significantly boosted EQUS’s brand recognition and membership across Alberta, showcasing our agency’s expertise in creating impactful, result-driven marketing strategies. In 2024, we focused our efforts on building the EQUS brand across Alberta. We launched a multi-channel campaign across programmatic, Meta, Google, print, video and radio with the goal in growing new memberships.

RESULTS

The RESULTS

M1 Agency’s strategy for EQUS yielded remarkable results, particularly in lead generation and form fills, achieving 159% of the target. By focusing on farms, businesses, irrigation, and oil and gas and aligning digital ads geographically, we enhanced targeting efficiency, contributing to a 6% increase in website traffic and over 8,153 visits to six new campaign landing pages. Additionally, our efforts led to a significant social media growth—48% on Facebook and 191% on Instagram—bolstered by 4.17M digital ad impressions and over 11,500 ad clicks, marking a substantial rise in brand engagement.
